The singer's driver is said to have smashed a commercial motorcyclist to death in Ogun State, only 24 hours after the police called Portable to be questioned over an alleged assault.
On Tuesday, June 21, the event allegedly took place after the singer dispatched his driver on an errand. The accident victim who was killed in Iyana Ilogbo along the Lagos-Abeokuta road passed away while he was being taken to the hospital.
On Tuesday, the singer's child's naming ceremony also took place. Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state's police spokesman, acknowledged the occurrence but claimed it was an accident.
On Monday, June 20, the police gave Portable the ultimatum: either go to the local police station right away or face arrest. This came after a case involving an alleged attack on his former disc jockey, DJ Chicken.
