"I'VE BEEN TEXTING OLAMIDE BADOO SINCE 2020" ASAKE DESCRIBED HOW HE JOINED YBNL

Popular Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, has disclosed how he joined Olamide's record label, YBNL country.

In a recent interview with Cool FM, the "Sungba" singer discussed his journey to become an artist signed to YBNL.

Asake acknowledged that he texted Olamide since 2020 but had not gotten a response. He stated that he repeatedly pushed himself into Olamide's direct message to ask for help and to remind him of the situations when he had stood by his friends, including Fireboy and others.

The YBNL signee revealed that although he went to the same school as Fireboy, Fireboy seems to have achieved success earlier. To get Olamide's attention, he repeatedly attempted this tactic, but it wasn't helpful.

When Baddo arrived, Olamide had simply inquired as to whether he would like to join the family after Olamide had requested they meet over the phone one day. Asake admitted, filled with excitement, that he had not given the subject any thought since he had already agreed.
