ANIKULAAPO'S PREMIERE IS ANOTHER FORM OF HOW GOLDGERG HONORS CULTURAL VALUES (PICTURES)

The much-awaited debut of Kunle Afolayan's "Anikulapo" occurred on Sunday, May 25, 2022, at the IMAX Theater in Lagos, amid splendor and glamour. Goldberg Premium Lager Beer was served at the occasion, which drew both veteran and new actors from the Nollywood business.

"Anikulapo is a stunning piece of cinematic work that will keep viewers hooked to their screen because, unquestionably, it contains components that arrest the body, mind, and soul," stated Olaoluwa Babalola, Senior Brand Manager, Goldberg, in a speech at the event. The fact that this movie highlights the Yoruba people's rich cultural past and delicately demonstrates how local customs have been passed down through the years makes it even more interesting. Goldberg is well-positioned to consistently advance Yoruba culture as a brand. My thanks go out to the actors and crew for bringing this work to life and for showcasing the rich cultural past of the Yoruba people to the globe.

The movie, directed by Kunle Afolayan and scheduled for release on September 30, 2022, is based on the life of famed diviner and cultural promoter Baba Ifayemi Elebuibon and tells the tale of love, desire, treachery, and a man's struggle and victory over his wars.

The epic film, which is packed with a healthy dose of romance, mystery, and drama, stars Nollywood actor Kunle Remi as Saro. These components will keep viewers and the seasoned director's admirers on the edge of their seats.

Veteran actors like Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae Kazeem, Taiwo Hassan, Bimbo Ademoye, Faithia Balogun, Ronke Ojo, Moji Afolayan, Aisha Lawal, Adebowale Adedayo, Debo Adedayo, and others are also featured in the movie.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, the Elegushi of the Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, as well as seasoned Yoruba movie stars like Tunde Kelani, Joke Silva, Adewale Elesho, Odunlade Adekola, Gbenga Adeyinka, and Adebayo Salami were present at the premiere.

The setting of "Anikulapo," a film produced by Kunle Afolayan, is the old Oyo Empire's pre-colonial era in the seventeenth century. It narrates the tale of a wanderer who travels to Oyo in search of greener pastures. When he arrives, he finds favor, and things begin to improve. Sadly, he fell in love in an illegal setting, yearned for the repugnant, and got caught up in the web of lust.
