QATAR 2022 WORLD CUP: MESSI'S HOTEL ROOM WILL BE CONVERTED INTO A MUSEUM (DETAILS)

After Argentina's victory in the 2022 World Cup, the hotel room where football star Lionel Messi stayed will be changed into a museum.

Messi was instrumental in Argentina's first World Cup victory since 1986, and he was named tournament MVP after scoring twice in the dramatic final against France.

After scoring seven goals in the tournament, the 35-year-old was awarded the silver boot.

Argentina started the tournament with a 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia but eventually advanced out of their group with victories over Mexico and Poland.

Argentina defeated Australia 2-1 in the round of 16 and had to rely on penalties to defeat the Netherlands after 120 minutes of football ended 2-2.

The Albiceleste defeated a Luka Modric-led Croatia side 3-0 in the semi-finals before defeating France on penalties.

His achievements are again set to be immortalized, with Achraf Ben Ayad tweeting that the University of Qatar space where he stayed will be transformed into a small museum', allowing keen fans to see how Messi spent his time in between games during a dramatic season.
