Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has publicly criticized Chrisland School following the death of one of its students, Whitney Houston. The school had initially claimed that the 12-year-old student died after collapsing during an inter-house sports event. However, recent reports have challenged this account of events. An Instagram blogger, Gistlover, reported that Whitney was electrocuted while attempting to purchase popcorn and candy from a vendor at the event. The blogger claims that she passed out after being shocked and was taken to the back of the stadium, where water was poured on her. She was then taken to the health center but had already passed away by that time.

Following the revelation of this new information, Iyabo Ojo called out the school for its lack of responsibility and called on them to be truthful about the circumstances surrounding Whitney's death. Iyabo questioned if the reports of Whitney's electrocution are true and why the vendors at the event were not equipped with child-proof equipment.
