In a surprising turn of events, Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has defeated All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, in Lagos state. The former Governor of Anambra state received a total of 582,354 votes, while Tinubu polled 572,606 votes. The People's Democratic Party (PDP) received a total of 75,750 votes, while the National Conscience Party (NNPC) received 8,442 votes. The accredited voters were 1,347,152, with a total of 1,271,451 valid votes, 64,278 rejected votes, and 1,335,729 total votes cast. It is worth noting that Tinubu was a two-term Governor of Lagos state.
