Toyin has received criticism from Nigerians who oppose her political affiliation, with some individuals even cursing their children on social media. Kolawole has taken to Instagram to address the issue, stating that he did not campaign for any political party and that his wife's political views do not necessarily reflect his own. He also prayed that any curses sent towards his children would return to the sender.
