The actor expressed his worries in a recent video he posted on his Instagram page, where he highlighted the need for young people to respect their elders on social media.
Dele Odule noted that he feels worried when he looks at the rate at which young people abuse elders on social media. He questioned if the young ones lack proper parental guidance, or if the parents and children are from the same school of thought, leading to such behavior. He observed that this is an era of baby parenting baby, where young parents have children who also have children, leading to a lack of proper upbringing and respect for elders.
The veteran actor believes that there is a need for a change in mindset, and young people should show more respect for their elders, particularly on social media platforms. He called on parents to play their role in instilling values such as respect and courtesy in their children, and young people to embrace the culture of showing respect to their elders.
