So sad: Veteran actor Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi, "Bobo B," has passed away.

The Nollywood industry has suffered another heartbreaking loss as legendary Yoruba actor, Ayobami Mudashir Olabiyi, widely known as Bobo B, has passed away.

Olabiyi, a beloved figure in the Yoruba movie scene, reportedly died after battling a serious illness. He had been unable to fulfill his commitment to a movie set in Oyo last month due to his deteriorating health. The actor was admitted to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where he was unable to speak or move before his death.

The news was confirmed by Yeye Bose Akinola, the Oyo State governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN). She shared that Olabiyi had served as the National Secretary of TAMPAN and was previously the association's governor in Oyo State.

In her statement, Akinola said, "It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of our TAMPAN National General Secretary, Chief Alhaji Musadshir Ayobami Olabiyi ‘Bobo B.’ May God grant his family and the entire TAMPAN community the strength to endure this loss. Insha Allah, Amen."
