In a harrowing ordeal, Nollywood actress Jayeola Monje and her children found themselves trapped in an extended traffic jam late at night. Taking to her Instagram page, the veteran actress shared videos showcasing their journey on foot after being stranded in traffic for hours.
Seeking solace and support, Jayeola pleaded for prayers from her followers, describing the situation as deeply distressing. She directed her plea to the government, urging them to take action to prevent trailers from operating on Apapa Wharf Road during the night.
Expressing her frustration, she exclaimed, "Please pray for us... This is pathetic! Can this government do something to these trailers on Apapa Wharf Road? I am walking home at night with my children."
In a subsequent update, Jayeola expressed gratitude for their safe arrival home. However, she revealed that her driver remained stuck in the traffic, and she fervently prayed for his safe return.
"My car and driver are still on the bridge. May God bring him home safely. Alhamdulillah modele. Thanks to everyone; I am now home with the children. God bless you all. Eseun gan ni. I pray the government will address the ongoing problems on Apapa Wharf Road."
The incident has sparked concerns about the persistent traffic congestion in the area, with hopes that authorities will intervene and find a lasting solution to alleviate the distress faced by commuters, particularly during late hours.
