"The nurse suspect who injected Mohbad is unregistered," reveals Lagos NANNM

In the ongoing controversy surrounding the case of Mohbad's injection, the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) Lagos State Council has raised concerns about the credentials of the individual reportedly arrested for administering the injection to Mohbad.

According to NANNM, the arrested individual is not a registered nurse. The association made this revelation through a press statement signed by Toba Odumosu, the State Secretary, and dated Saturday, September 23.

In the statement, NANNM expressed condolences to the family and associates of the late musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, during this challenging time. They called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances of his death and urged authorities to pursue justice.

NANNM emphasized the importance of professionalism in both reporting and conducting the investigation, stating that their preliminary investigations suggest the arrested individual is not a registered nurse. They stressed the need to verify the qualifications and professional status of individuals before identifying them as healthcare professionals.

The association also called on investigative authorities and the media to exercise caution and accuracy in their reporting during this investigation, warning against any misrepresentation of nurses and the nursing profession.

The arrest of a suspect in connection with Mohbad's injection had previously generated significant public interest and speculation. However, NANNM's statement has now raised further questions about the case.
