"I'm Not Perfect, Never Said I Was" Nollywood Star Iyabo Ojo Says Amid Controversial Advocacy For Late Mohbad

Nollywood actress and businesswoman Iyabo Ojo has addressed the criticism she's received for her support and advocacy for the late musician Mohbad. Alongside her colleague Tonto Dikeh, she has been actively seeking justice for the late singer, which has led to negative feedback, particularly regarding their involvement in his funeral arrangements.

Taking to her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo acknowledged her imperfections and made it clear that she has never portrayed herself as flawless or made any promises to be perfect. She emphasized that staying true to herself is more than enough for her.

As a two-parent single mother, she firmly asserted her commitment to speaking her truth, regardless of the image painted of her and the abuse she faces. She expressed her determination to live as a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who fights for justice.

Iyabo Ojo also highlighted her desire for a better Nigeria and a safe environment for her children, stressing that this responsibility starts with both her and the public.

In her own words, she stated, "I'm not perfect… Never said I was, never said I would. Just being me is more than perfect for me. I will continue to speak my truth no matter the narrative they draw about me, no matter the hate, the witch hunt… I would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks and fights for justice because death at the end is inevitable. I want a better Nigeria and a safe environment for our dear children, and that duty starts from you and me. We can't all be silent… The Queen Mother with her black bonnet."
