Legendary Fuji Stars Obesere and Kwam1 Reconcile, Ending Years of Feud

Fuji music icon Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere has announced the end of a long-standing feud with his fellow colleague, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as Kwam1. Obesere made this reconciliation declaration during a live show he hosted last weekend.

He revealed that he and Olori Omoba Akile Ijebu, Wasiu Ayinde, have reconciled, paving the way for peace between them.

Recalling a turbulent period in 2018, Obesere had launched a verbal attack on Kwam1 over the latter's criticism of the leadership of Lagos State's then-governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. Obesere referred to him as a serial betrayer and accused him of being greedy, selfish, and disrespectful.

Obesere's manager, Arems Adeniyi, released an official statement in which Obesere questioned Kwam1's actions, alleging that he had undermined the release of an album by another Fuji legend, Alhaji Kollington Ayinla, due to personal interests and grudges. Obesere described himself as a principled businessman who did not engage in street-level nuisance for money, honoring only necessary invitations.

He claimed that Kwam1's ambitions were motivated by a desire for fame rather than serving the people, and accused him of not wanting the progress of his colleagues in the Fuji music industry. The statement affirmed Obesere's commitment to principles and dignity in his career.

Obesere's recent announcement of reconciliation signifies an end to their feud, as the two iconic musicians have chosen to bury the hatchet and promote peace in the industry.
