Gospel Singer Tola King Passes Away After Falling Ill During Church Concert

Tola King, a gospel singer based in Osogbo, has tragically passed away following a sudden illness during a church concert. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday at a Celestial church in Obalende, Osogbo. According to the Governor of the Celestial Performing Artistes Association of Nigeria in Osun State, Temitope Awosika, Tola King was performing alongside colleagues when he suddenly fell ill.

Awosika revealed that after Tola King's prompt attention inside the church, he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Osogbo and later transferred to another hospital in Ile-Ife at daybreak. Despite receiving immediate care, his condition did not improve, and he eventually passed away around 2 pm on Saturday.

Awosika clarified that Tola King did not collapse in the church but was made to sit down when he fell ill. The governor urged people to lead righteous lives, emphasizing the certainty of death for all beings. The incident has left the Celestial Performing Artistes Association of Nigeria in mourning, as disclosed by the governor.
