Ogbomoso-born Nigerian chef Tope Maggie has set her sights on surpassing Irish chef Alan Fisher's recent Guinness World Records victory in culinary endurance. Fisher achieved the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with an impressive time of 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.
Alan Fisher also secured another record for the longest baking marathon (individual) by beating American Wendy Sandner with a time of 47 hours and 21 minutes. Tope Maggie, inspired by Fisher's achievement, is now preparing to exceed his 119-hour and 57-minute record.
The culinary competition among Nigerian chefs continues to escalate as they strive to showcase their skills and compete for recognition on the global stage. Tope Maggie's ambitious challenge reflects the ongoing drive among Nigerian chefs to set new standards in the culinary world.
