The mother of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as MohBad, Mrs. Olumiyi, has raised concerns about the obstruction of a proper burial for her son. In a video circulating on the internet, she alleges that the deceased's father is preventing the release of MohBad's body even after the completion of an autopsy.
Expressing her distress, Mrs. Olumiyi appeals to Nigerians to rally behind her request for the singer's father to retrieve the body from the Lagos State Police Command. Despite the autopsy being concluded, she claims that her pleas to allow the release of MohBad's body have gone unanswered.
In an emotional plea, she states, "Nigerians, please assist me in demanding that my son’s corpse be released." Mrs. Olumiyi recounts her visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, where she was informed that MohBad's remains were available for burial. However, she alleges that the father has refused to permit the burial despite repeated pleas.
The late singer's father, Joseph Aloba, has insisted that no one should take his son's remains for burial without his permission. This disagreement over the burial process adds another layer of complexity to the situation surrounding MohBad's death on September 12. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of death and unravel the controversies surrounding the untimely demise of the former Marlian Music signee.
