Prince Abdulfatai Adeyemi, affectionately called D-Gov and the son of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has passed away just one day before turning 47. He died early on Friday due to diabetes at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State. The Oyo prince had been unwell for some time.
In 2019, he aspired for the Oyo Federal Constituency as a candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party but lost to his brother, Akeem Adeyemi, also known as Skimeh, who secured re-election for a second term.
