Controversial Nigerian musician, Portable, also known as Habeeb Olalomi Oyegbile, has declared his intention to perform at a praise night for one of the branches of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in Lagos. In a viral video, Portable addressed the criticism surrounding his inclusion in the event alongside Pasuma and May-Shua.
A social media event flier had sparked discussions as netizens questioned the church's choice of performers. Responding to the criticism, Portable urged the church not to judge him by his appearance, emphasizing that he is also a son of God. In a bold statement, he asserted, "To the Celestial church that invited me, don't ever think of canceling it because you paid me N5 million already. Pasuma and I are coming. We must sing that night. Don't use my looks to judge me." Portable's firm commitment adds another layer to the ongoing debate surrounding the church's selection of artists for their upcoming event.
