"Trying to damage the reputation that raised you when you were a nobody" Kwam1 Responds to Allegations from Former Drummer Kunle Ayanlowo

Nigerian Fuji icon King Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam1 or K1, has addressed accusations made by his former drummer, Kunle Ayanlowo. Ayanlowo recently spoke out in an interview, detailing his experiences working with Kwam1, alleging mistreatment and control.

In the interview, Ayanlowo claimed that Kwam1 treated him and other band members like slaves, seizing their passports during travels and displaying disregard for their well-being. He recounted instances where he was ordered home while seeking medical attention, citing ongoing health issues as a result.

With a tenure of 32 years under Kwam1's leadership, Ayanlowo expressed frustration at achieving little and living in fear throughout his time with the artist. He urged Nigerians to hold Kwam1 accountable for any harm that may befall him.

In response, Kwam1 took to Instagram to refute the allegations, urging Ayanlowo to stop spreading lies. He emphasized the support he provided to Ayanlowo during his rise in the music industry and warned against associating with dishonest individuals.

Kwam1 wrote on his Instagram page, "Lairs and naysayers get away from me, stop lying. Trying to damage the reputation that raised you when you were a nobody. Disassociate from liars, you have nothing to gain from them."

Kwam1's reaction comes amidst heightened scrutiny and debate over the allegations, shedding light on a contentious issue within the Nigerian music scene.
