The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has made startling revelations regarding the financial conduct of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello. Olukoyede alleged that Bello withdrew $720,000 from Kogi's account to pay his child's school fees abroad in advance.

Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, Olukoyede expressed his commitment to upholding accountability in public office. He condemned the misuse of government funds, citing Bello's actions as an example.

Olukoyede recounted his attempts to address the issue directly with Bello, stating that the former governor declined to cooperate. Despite extending invitations for questioning, Bello allegedly refused, citing concerns about media scrutiny.
