However, his plans took an unexpected turn one Sunday when his mother returned from church and began shouting at him. In a moment of frustration, he reacted by hissing at her, triggering her fury.

In a swift and decisive move, his mother confiscated his travel documents and, in a fit of anger, destroyed them by pouring kerosene and setting them alight. Fortunately, Naetochukwu managed to salvage only his passport from the envelope.
