"Petrol Now Costs 900 Naira Per Litre," Actor Afeez Oyetoro Cries Out

Comedic actor Afeez Oyeyoro recently expressed concern about the current state of the economy, particularly the soaring cost of petrol. Through a video shared on his Instagram, he highlighted that the price of petrol in his area had reached 900 Naira per liter, urging fellow Nigerians to collectively strive for a more comfortable life amidst escalating challenges.

This outcry echoes previous sentiments shared by media personality Speedy Darlington earlier in the year. Speedy, in a social media video, lamented the discrepancy between the current fuel prices and those of previous years. He even speculated about collusion among petroleum stations to reduce the quantity of fuel sold to consumers.

However, in March 2024, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) refuted claims of reducing petrol and diesel prices. The spokesperson, Olufemi, clarified that reports suggesting a decrease to 600 Naira for petrol and 900 Naira for diesel were entirely false.
