Police officers recently intervened in a dispute involving a pastor who declined to refund a young man after he mistakenly transferred N1 million instead of N100,000.
The pastor, who remains unidentified, attracted attention by asserting that the money erroneously sent to him by a church member was a divine gift from God. In a video circulating online, the church member is seen accompanied by police officers as he confronts the pastor at his residence.
The aggrieved congregant explains that he intended to transfer N100,000 to the clergyman but mistakenly sent N1 million instead. Despite multiple attempts to retrieve the excess amount, the pastor insisted on retaining it, citing it as a gift to God.
Faced with this refusal, the church member sought police assistance to reclaim his money from the pastor, leading to the visit to the pastor's residence by law enforcement officers.
