Ijaduade Ololade Azeez, a popular Nollywood actor and director, took to his social media page to celebrate his birthday with stunning photos. In his caption, he wrote, "+1 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 🎂🎂🎂🎂 OLOLADE ADISA MORENIKEJI ENIOLORUNKE," expressing joy and gratitude for marking another year of life and thanking God for the journey he has lived and where he is headed.
However, tragedy struck recently when Azeez was involved in an incident with a trigger-happy policeman in Iperu, Ogun State. According to reports, the actor was attending an end-of-year party when an argument erupted between the party organizers and the police. During the altercation, a police officer accidentally fired a shot that hit Azeez.
Following the incident, Azeez was rushed to Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilishan Remo, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Despite the severity of the situation, a spokesperson for the Ogun State Police confirmed that Azeez is now in stable condition.
The news of Azeez's shooting was initially disclosed by his colleague, Abiodun Adebanjo, on Instagram. Adebanjo called for assistance from authorities and shared details of the incident, urging anyone with connections to the Police IG or Commissioner to intervene.
In response to inquiries, Ogun State Police PPRO Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident, attributing it to an accidental discharge during the altercation at the party. She reassured the public that Azeez Ijaduade's condition is stable.
The incident has sparked concern and sympathy among fans and colleagues in the Nollywood industry, who continue to monitor Azeez's recovery progress.
