“We Are Losing Our Space to Bloggers and Activists” Sydney Talker Shades VeryDarkMan and Others, Warns Content Creators

Famous Nigerian content creator Sydney Talker has issued a warning to fellow creators, emphasizing the need to retain their space in the social media landscape. In a detailed Instagram story, Talker addressed upcoming content creators, highlighting the importance of owning their presence on platforms like Instagram.

He pointed out that bloggers and activists, including the well-known activist Very Dark Black Man, are gradually encroaching on the content creation space. Talker stressed that veteran skit makers are moving into other fields such as filmmaking and music, urging the new generation to step up and maintain the industry's relevance.

Sydney Talker called on established content creators to continue exploring the field to support upcoming talents. He emphasized the need for new and aspiring creators to understand that the social media space belongs to them and encouraged them to reclaim and own it.

“Content creators wake up!!! Especially the new ones or the aspiring ones. The content creation industry is dying! We need the new ones or the aspiring ones to do more because this content creation industry is in your hands now! The old ones have tried. Most of us are now into making movies, music or other businesses because we are trying to bag bigger things. Please don’t blame us. When you get here you’ll understand. But for now, y’all new and aspiring creators NEED TO DO MORE!!! The content creation industry is losing relevance because the new and aspiring ones ain’t gaining relevance. Y’all need to wake up young lads. First, y’all need to understand that this social media space belongs to us. We need to own it. We are losing our space (Instagram) to bloggers and activists. Come on guys! Y’all need to step up.”
