Nigerian Nollywood film producer Seun Egbegbe recently made a candid confession during an interview on the Talk2B show, produced by actress Biola Bayo. Egbegbe admitted to having committed several wrongs in the past but stressed that he has never taken anyone’s life.
Egbegbe revealed that out of the 45 charges against him, only one led to his imprisonment. He shared that while in prison, he prayed fervently, asking Almighty God to spare his life and ensure his release if he was truly innocent. He noted that many inmates died while he was in prison, but he continuously prayed for his safety.
Egbegbe was ultimately sentenced to seven years in prison for stealing iPhones, after being found guilty of only one of the 44 charges against him, specifically Count 19.
The producer’s interview sparked various reactions from netizens:
Iwalewa inquired: "What about the man with the kidney problem? We have not heard anything about him again. How is his health now? @biolabayo1."
Olori commented: "People will not see this now and commend Daddy Adeboye, but it is the bad side that Tunde will see. Uhm, life."
Pwetty wrote: "Old things have passed away. Behold, it's a new beginning 🙏."
Itsfaway expressed support: "Love his confidence. May Almighty God forgive him and show him mercy. He must have learned a lot of lessons and retraced his steps. God continue to be with him."
Egbegbe’s reflections on his past and his plea for forgiveness have resonated with many, drawing a range of responses from his audience.
