Nigerian actor and skit maker, Abiola AbdulGafar, popularly known as Cute Abiola, paid tribute to the late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, on the first anniversary of his death. Mohbad, who was once signed to Naira Marley’s record label, died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27 under controversial circumstances.
Following Mohbad's death, disturbing videos emerged showing him being harassed by his former boss and associates, raising concerns and sparking conversations about the events leading to his passing.
On September 12, 2024, Cute Abiola shared a video clip of Mohbad at an event, remembering the late singer and writing, “A year ago, today. Rest on Legend." Fans and followers reacted emotionally to the post, expressing their sorrow and frustration over the unresolved issues surrounding Mohbad's death.
