Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has shared emotional updates on the condition of comedian Ojesanmi Afeez, popularly known as Oloba Salo, who was recently shot by unknown gunmen in Lekki, Lagos. The TikTok star, who sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, is currently battling for his life at Evercare Hospital after being placed on life support.
During a live session with media personality Uncle Tunde Perry, Toyin revealed the severity of Salo's condition, stating that when she arrived at the hospital, his body had already gone cold, and he had undergone around four surgeries. The medical team had worked tirelessly to stabilize him, but he remains unconscious.
Toyin also disclosed that the initial hospital bill amounted to N12 million, which was swiftly raised by celebrities like Zlatan, Mkiddo, Abu Abel, and others. She expressed her devastation, admitting that Salo's condition was far worse than she had imagined, leaving her in tears.
In her emotional statement, Toyin said, "That N12 million is like first aid. The hospital has been treating him even before we arrived. His health issue is not small. I was crying like a baby. I saw bullets, and they’ve done four surgeries. I believe God has a plan for Salo's life."
The actress also mentioned that the Lagos state DPO visited them at the hospital, emphasizing how dire the situation was but choosing not to share details on social media earlier.
Fans and colleagues have since poured in their prayers and support for Oloba Salo, hoping for his recovery.
