“They will use your best picture for RIP before the year ends,” Bimpe Akintunde bitterly curses a scammer impersonating her.

Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde has issued a stern warning and heartfelt plea after discovering that a scammer has been impersonating her online. The actress took to Instagram to share screenshots of the fraudulent activity, revealing that the scammer had been using her name and photos to deceive people into parting with their hard-earned money.

In her post, Bimpe expressed frustration over the situation, lamenting how hard she has worked to build her name and brand only to have it tarnished by someone’s deceitful actions. She questioned how the country could progress when people like the scammer engage in such damaging behavior.

Sharing details, she urged her fans to report the scammer’s WhatsApp and Opay accounts and warned them to disregard any messages requesting money in her name. She also unleashed a heavy curse on the scammer, expressing her anger and disappointment.

She wrote:

*"What a morning. Tell me how this country wants to be great when a lot of people are struggling, working hard to build a name and brand, and boom, one person will take their pictures and name only to defraud people up and down. Who gave birth to such a child? Awon oloriburuku omo, ki Oluwa ma je ki won ya lodo wa oooooooo (May God never let such people near us).

Please disregard any message from anyone, either in your DM or WhatsApp, asking you to send money. It’s not me o; I don’t own this number. I would appreciate it if we could find a way to report both the WhatsApp and the Opay account.

Tochukwu Samuel O., ko ni da fun e (it will not be well with you). Omo ofo, I’m sure you’re going to see this because you took the pic from my page and my profile name. Ti e ko ni da (yours will not end well). Wa pare maye ni lola ojo eni yii (you will meet destruction on this very day)."*

Fans and followers quickly rallied in support of the actress, flooding the comments with messages of solidarity and pledging to help report the scammer’s account. Many sympathized with Bimpe, sharing their disappointment over the lengths to which scammers would go.
