Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has publicly expressed her gratitude to the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, for granting clemency to 53 convicts as part of the Christmas celebrations.
Governor Adeleke exercised his prerogative of mercy by recommending the outright release of 30 individuals and pardoning 10 others for their good behavior. Additionally, several convicts facing death sentences had their penalties commuted to 15 years in prison, while others involved in serious offenses were released on medical grounds.
Reacting to the Governor’s compassionate gesture, Biola Bayo shared her appreciation on Instagram, writing: “AND GRACE WAS EXTENDED TO 52 OTHER PRISONERS. Thank you so much, Your Excellency @aadeleke_01.”
The actress' post resonated with her fans, many of whom joined her in applauding Governor Adeleke’s act of mercy, describing it as a significant step toward rehabilitation and humanity in the justice system.
