Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has shared heartfelt insights into his journey to stardom and personal life during an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.


Reflecting on his early days in the Yoruba movie industry, Lateef revealed a discouraging moment when his mentor predicted he would fail within a year. Undeterred, Lateef confidently responded, asking for two years to prove his worth. His resilience and dedication have since established him as a leading figure in Nollywood.


Lateef also opened up about his marital life with actress Mo Bimpe, recalling how he proposed to her in a unique way—over the phone. He shared how she has remained a pillar of support, particularly during challenging times, including the harsh criticism they face online.


The actor disclosed that his wife has been a target of hurtful trolls, with some cruelly calling her barren on social media. Despite the negativity, Lateef praised her strength and calm demeanor, noting how she brushes off the comments with the assurance that everything will be fine.


Lateef also recounted the struggles he faced while working on his first big-screen project, Lisabi. He admitted that many people who had initially promised to support him abandoned him when he needed them most. However, his wife’s unwavering support helped him regain confidence and move forward.
