Veteran Nollywood actor and director Kunle Afod has shared his perspective on the unpredictable nature of relationships, stating that "there is no friend or foe anywhere." In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, the filmmaker with 38 years of experience highlighted the fluidity of human connections.
“Someone believed to be a friend can turn out to be a traitor, while someone perceived as an enemy may end up playing a pivotal role in your success,” Afod remarked. He emphasized the importance of being open-minded and liberal, adding that these life lessons have shaped his journey since he began acting in 1986.
Afod also unveiled plans to expand his creative repertoire by venturing into big-screen productions in 2025. He teased the launch of new projects, including a continuation of his popular Proverbs Challenge series. “I enjoy creating content that is competitive,” he said.
Offering advice to upcoming actors and directors, the seasoned filmmaker urged them to prioritize self-improvement and research to refine their craft continually. “Directors should work on upgrading their knowledge regularly to deliver better productions,” he concluded.
Afod’s reflections and future plans have garnered admiration from fans and colleagues, with many praising his commitment to growth and innovation in the entertainment industry.
