"The Alaafin’s throne is not to be disrespected" – Late Alaafin of Oyo’s Daughter, Criticizes Ex-Queen Dami Over Paternity Controversy

Adeyemi Adebisi Aminat, the daughter of the late Alaafin of Oyo, has called out the monarch's former wife, Queen Dami, over alleged social media antics.

In a series of Instagram posts, Adebisi accused Queen Dami of hypocrisy for questioning another individual’s paternity while allegedly being unsure of her own child’s father. Adebisi claimed that Dami "purchased" her child from Port Harcourt and warned her against disrespecting the Alaafin's throne. She emphasized that the palace's silence does not signify ignorance, asserting that she holds blood tests and evidence concerning the issue, gathered before the monarch’s death.

“The Alaafin’s throne is not to be ridiculed. Don’t play with me,” Adebisi wrote. “You are mocking someone about paternity, but do you know the father of your child? The child you went to buy in Port Harcourt. Go and give the child to the rightful owner.”

Queen Dami was previously married to the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyeye, but the marriage ended after she reportedly violated palace rules. She fled the palace, citing frustration and bad advice from friends, but never reconciled with the monarch before his passing in 2022.

Following the king’s death, Dami moved on publicly with singer Portable. Portable confirmed their relationship in 2023, explaining that Dami had been a fan before the monarch’s demise and that their relationship began afterward. On Valentine’s Day, Dami professed her love for Portable on Instagram, calling him her man and stating he had her heart entirely.

The escalating feud highlights lingering tensions between Queen Dami and the royal family, underscoring the complexities of her history with the palace.
