Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has revealed his intention to sue his daughter-in-law, Wunmi Aloba, regardless of the DNA test results confirming the paternity of his grandson.
In a recent interview with Agbaletu TV, Mr. Aloba stated that he still holds Wunmi responsible for certain decisions regarding their late son's child. He expressed concerns over her parenting, criticizing her for allegedly taking a five-month-old baby to public events where substances like weed were being used.
“I know nothing about Mohbad’s death. When my son passed, Wunmi was the first person I questioned because she is his wife. Even if DNA proves that Liam is my grandson, I will sue her. How can she take a five-month-old to shows where people smoke weed? I recently saw that they took him to Ibadan,” he said.
Further addressing his grievances, Mr. Aloba alleged that Mohbad had previously confided in him about his wife’s infidelity.
“He told me multiple times that his wife cheated on him. He even mentioned that she once put drugs in the Indomie she prepared for him, and after he ate it, she went into the next room to sleep with someone else,” he claimed.
Regarding the highly anticipated DNA test, Mr. Aloba assured the public of his readiness, stating that Wunmi’s lawyer only needs to coordinate with his new legal representative to facilitate the process.
Reacting to allegations that he is only interested in Mohbad’s properties and royalties, he denied such claims, stating:
“My main concern is what truly led to Mohbad’s death. Is the child he left behind really my grandson? Once those two questions are answered, you will never see me talking about properties again.”
The interview has stirred fresh reactions among fans, with many calling for transparency and justice regarding the late singer’s passing.
