Controversial Nigerian street artist, Portable, has turned to God in heartfelt supplication, seeking divine intervention amid his ongoing legal battle with the Ogun State government.
Taking to Instagram, the singer publicly asked God for forgiveness, acknowledging his past mistakes and vowing never to repeat them. Interestingly, he bypassed his mother and wife, choosing instead to address his plea directly to his Maker.
In his emotional prayer, Portable wrote:
"God, forgive me because of my mama and my wife. I have learned from my mistakes, and there are many things I will never do or allow again. God, do me as I want. Show me your grace. Aje Olokun, the owner of the Dept of Sea, cover me. God, don’t let me be sad anyhow. Let me focus on my own and let my dreams come true."
In a follow-up post, he continued to pray for his family’s happiness, expressing his faith in God’s power to turn things around.
"Big God will do it again. God, make my family happy again. Amuludun. Oluwa loni glory. Oluwa Iyanu wa wo Ola Iyanu. Iyanu ma sele."
Portable's Legal Battle with Ogun State Government
For the past few days, Portable has been embroiled in legal troubles with the Ogun State government. The authorities sealed off his unfinished hotel and building, citing unlawful development without a permit. In addition, several of his patrons and employees were arrested, prompting the singer to protest loudly on social media.
Following the government’s actions, Portable announced the cancellation of his London show, explaining that he needed to focus on protecting his family and properties. However, he reassured his fans that as long as he remained alive, he would have many opportunities to perform across different countries.
