Veteran Nollywood actor John Amaefule has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke, leaving his family in urgent need of financial assistance for his treatment.
The news was shared by fellow actor Stanley Ontop via Instagram, revealing that Amaefule was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Owerri, the capital of Imo State. According to Ontop, the stroke has severely affected the left side of his brain, resulting in right-sided weakness.
Amaefule's family is now appealing to Nigerians for financial help to cover the cost of his medical tests and treatment.
Stanley Ontop wrote:
“Nollywood veteran actor John Amaefule was rushed to the hospital this morning in Owerri after suffering a stroke.
His family is asking Nigerians to please help. He’s currently at FMC Owerri, and they need money to save his life. He had a stroke on the left side of his brain, which has likely caused right-sided weakness. They need to conduct several tests, including a Lipid Panel Test, Hemoglobin A1c Test, and Electrolyte, Urea, and Creatinine Tests.”
Fans and well-wishers have since taken to social media to express their concerns, offering prayers for his speedy recovery and urging support for the ailing actor.
