"He got married for Nigerians' recognition and the Headies Award" – Priscilla Ojo replies X user over her husband Juma Jux’s Headies win.

Nigerian influencer and newlywed Priscilla Ojo has spoken out in defense of her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, after his recent win at the 17th Headies Awards.

The prestigious event was held on Sunday evening at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos. Juma Jux, who attended the ceremony alongside his wife Priscilla, was honored with the Best East African Artiste of the Year award. During his acceptance speech, Juma thanked God, his wife, his management team, his family, his fans known as "JP lovers," and the award organizers for supporting East African music.

However, following the award, a Twitter user named Oku Yungx insinuated that Juma Jux married Priscilla to gain fame and recognition in Nigeria, writing, "Lmao. The game is the game."

Responding to the comment, Priscilla defended her husband in a sarcastic manner. She agreed playfully, stating that her husband married for Nigerian recognition and the Headies Award, calling him a smart, calculative, and hardworking man. She expressed her pride in him and thanked their fans for their continuous support.

In her words:

"Yes, o, he got married for Nigerians' recognition and the Headies Award. The game is the game, my brother. Shout-out to my husband, such a smart, calculative, and hardworking man. I’m so lucky. Big love to JP fans for voting. We love you."

Another Twitter user warned Priscilla not to start an online battle she might not be able to finish, reminding her that Twitter users are often unforgiving.

"You better don’t start what you can’t finish, my love; Twitter people don’t get joy o," the user advised.

In response, Priscilla made it clear that she was simply praising her husband and standing by her words.

She wrote:

"Abibah, I’m clearly praising my husband and supporting the statement, 'The game is the game'; there is nothing to start and finish here."
