Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor Ayo Olaiya has publicly tendered an emotional apology to his wife for allowing work commitments to interfere with their planned holiday in the United Kingdom.
Taking to his Instagram page, the actor shared a lovely photo of himself and his wife alongside a heartfelt message. He revealed that although the trip was intended to be a relaxing vacation for both of them, he ended up using part of the time to shoot a movie—turning their holiday into a movie premiere.
In his post, Ayo reflected on the importance of humility and accountability in relationships, stating:
“When you find it difficult to apologize when you’re wrong, or the word SORRY seems the hardest for you to say, then you have a blotch in your character.”
He continued by acknowledging his fault and sincerely apologized to his wife, whom he fondly referred to as Adunni mi.
“I will not justify my shortcomings. I apologize for letting work take away the joy of spending quality time with you. Babe, please forgive me. Ise aje lo so omo nu bi oko (Hustle made a husband neglect his wife).”
Ayo’s public apology has earned him praise from fans who commended his honesty, emotional maturity, and love for his wife. Many urged other men to learn from his example.
