Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sent a bold message to his critics, claiming that those who attacked him during his marital crisis with first wife, May Edochie, are now facing hardships in their personal lives.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the actor said many of the people who insulted him are currently going through various struggles — including broken marriages, failed careers, confusion about their identity, and even resorting to begging online. He warned that they would continue to suffer unless they apologised for judging him in a matter that didn’t concern them.
“You will continue to suffer until you apologise to me for fighting me when I did nothing to you,” Yul declared, adding that those planning to join his critics should be ready to face the consequences.
Yul also took a jab at women still searching for husbands, saying many of them haven’t found love because of their attacks on him. He noted that some critics are now “suffering silently” because they interfered in his private matters.
This statement comes amid the ongoing drama surrounding his marriage to actress Judy Austin, which led to the breakdown of his first marriage. In 2023, Judy revealed that she met Yul years after her first marriage ended in 2013, and denied cheating on her former husband.
As a result of Yul’s controversial second marriage, his first wife, May Edochie, filed for divorce, demanded ₦100 million from Judy as damages, and obtained full custody of their children along with a restraining order preventing Yul from entering their former home.
