Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has finally addressed the reason behind the unexpected cancellation of his highly anticipated Morayo Live Tour.
Earlier this month, Wizkid became a trending topic after he suddenly called off all scheduled tour dates, starting with North America, including shows in the United States and Canada. The cancellations were later extended to European cities, notably Berlin and Paris.
The move triggered disappointment among many fans, particularly those who had already bought tickets. Several criticized the singer for keeping silent and not offering an explanation after the abrupt changes.
However, in a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Wizkid broke his silence. He pleaded for patience and opened up about the emotional pain he has been experiencing following the death of his mother.
In his brief but emotional message, he wrote:
“Big Wiz easy wit me 🦅.”
“Miss my Queen everyday !! 💔🦅.”
The message, accompanied by a broken heart and eagle emoji, has drawn sympathy from fans, many of whom have since expressed understanding and offered support during his grieving period.
