Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has thrown shade at Nollywood actress Biola Bayo, following her emotional revelation about her failed marriage.
Earlier, Biola Bayo had publicly opened up about her separation from her husband, revealing that they have been living apart since April last year. While celebrating her husband's birthday on social media, the Yoruba movie star explained that they have both chosen to co-parent their son in peace and maturity.
In her heartfelt message, Biola apologised to fans who might feel let down and said she genuinely wished her marriage had worked. She added that sometimes, it’s better to stay alive to tell the story than remain in a painful situation. She also shared how she often brings happiness to others, yet has cried herself to sleep for the past 14 months.
Shortly after her post went viral, Portable released a video mocking her. He pointed out the irony that Biola had previously interviewed other people’s wives on her show, yet is no longer living with her own husband. He sarcastically said:
“So you aren’t in your husband’s house, yet you’ve been interviewing other people’s wives? No problem. So your house isn’t settled? You know, life is just like drama.”
Portable's comments sparked mixed reactions online, with some criticizing him for mocking a woman going through emotional pain, while others felt he was simply highlighting the contradictions in the entertainment industry.
