Actress and singer Ashabi Simple, popularly known as one of controversial singer Portable’s baby mamas, has celebrated a major milestone as she graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) with a Bachelor’s degree in Yoruba Language from the Faculty of Arts.
Ashabi, whose real name is Akinyanju Omobolarinde, shared a joyful video of her signing-out celebration on social media. In the video, the mother of two could be seen dancing excitedly as her classmates signed her white T-shirt. She also posed with her baby, wearing matching outfits, and showed off a medium-sized graduation cake and several gifts.
Despite Portable being abroad, the singer made a video call to congratulate her, and Ashabi responded with a playful kiss over the phone.
She captioned her celebratory post with motivational phrases such as:
"Face it till you make it," "Grow with the flow," "Dream it, work for it," "Create happiness," "Be the right person."
Ashabi revealed that she originally wanted to study Theatre Arts, but when she didn’t gain admission for the course, she chose Yoruba Language instead, as it was closely related to her passion for arts and culture.
The graduation news drew applause from fans and followers, with many praising her dedication to education, even while being a mother and active in the entertainment industry.
