Nollywood actor and content creator, Kamo State, has publicly expressed deep appreciation for his godmother and senior colleague, Funke Akindele, for her continued love and support toward him and his family.
During a Q&A with fans, Kamo revealed that Funke recently gifted him an iPhone 16 Pro Max worth ₦2.4 million, but had asked him not to post about it. Jokingly referring to himself as “the dramatic son,” he said the few things he shares online are just a small part of the massive support Funke has shown him.
“Funke Akindele is a mother to many, even before I met her. I’m just the dramatic son, so mine is loud. She bought me an iPhone 16 Pro Max for ₦2.4 million and warned me not to post it. But what I post is just 1% of what she’s done for me and my family,” he shared.
Just a week ago, Kamo also praised Funke for treating his wife and newborn baby to a lovely breakfast and shopping spree. He called her “the mother God blessed me with”, adding that she’s been a strong pillar in his life.
Fans may remember that Kamo and his wife, Esther, got married in December in a beautiful traditional and white wedding attended by many celebrities. In May, the couple welcomed their first child. While sharing the news, Kamo thanked his wife for her strength during childbirth.
In an emotional follow-up post, Kamo shared how Funke Akindele made efforts to help his wife deliver in the United States, but when that didn’t happen, she arranged the best medical care in Nigeria, provided a driver and full security, and called daily to check on his wife.
His public gratitude stirred warm reactions online, with fans hailing Funke Akindele as a true mother figure and an angel in disguise.
