Nigerian music superstar Davido has revealed the emotional reason behind his choice of wedding accessory during his marriage to Chioma.
In an interview with Vogue Weddings, the singer explained that he wore cufflinks carrying a portrait of their late son, Ifeanyi, who passed away in 2022. Davido said the gesture was his way of keeping Ifeanyi close to their hearts on such a special day.
“My cufflinks held a portrait of our angel, Ifeanyi, a way to keep him close to our hearts on the most beautiful night of our lives,” he said.
Speaking further about his wedding to Chioma, Davido described the experience as peaceful and fulfilling, noting that he is grateful to finally marry the love of his life.
“I felt at peace. I got to marry the love of my life, and I get to wake up next to her forever,” he added.
The highly celebrated wedding, which took place earlier this month, has continued to draw admiration and attention both in Nigeria and internationally.
