Tijani Onwenu, the son of late Nigerian music legend Onyeka Onwenu, has penned an emotional tribute to his mother to mark the first anniversary of her death.
On his social media page, Tijani wrote:
“A year ago today. RIP mom. July 30, 2024.”
It was reported that Onyeka Onwenu collapsed after performing at Stella Okolie’s 80th birthday party in Lagos on July 31, 2024. She was rushed to Reddington Hospital, where she sadly passed away.
Fans and well-wishers have joined Tijani in paying tribute to the late singer, remembering her as a cultural icon and musical legend.
