Afrobeats star Burna Boy has revealed a strange misconception Nigerians hold about him.
Speaking in an interview with an American host on Apple Music, the Grammy-winning singer was asked to share something people often assume about him that is untrue.
Responding, Burna Boy said:
“One is that I don’t like to shave my armpit. People think… you know how Samson in the Bible is, right? With the hair?”
The host then asked if the belief was linked to Yoruba culture, but Burna clarified that it was simply a rumor spread by Nigerians, with some even joking that his power lies in his armpit hair.
