Nollywood actress Jayeola Monje, better known as Jaiye Kuti, has been thrown into mourning following the death of her colleague, Seun Confirm.
The Yoruba movie star announced the sad news on her Instagram page, revealing that the fast-rising actor and filmmaker died from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland common in older men, which can cause difficulty in urination.
In an emotional tribute, Jaiye described Seun’s untimely death as heartbreaking, praying for his soul to rest in peace and asking God to comfort and strengthen his family during this difficult time.
Expressing her pain in Yoruba and English, she wrote in part: “Seun Confirm… aaah iku omo yin dun mi o… Rest in peace is cruel. Not now, Lord! May God console your family.”
The news of Seun Confirm’s passing has left many in the Yoruba movie industry and his fans in deep shock.
