Tragedy as Kogi Polytechnic Final-Year Student D!es During Ab@rtion Procedure in Lokoja

A final-year student of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has died while undergoing an abortion at a private clinic.

The incident happened on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Al-Hassan Clinic and Maternity, Sarkin Noma, Lokoja.

According to reports by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the deceased, identified as Omotosho Dorcas, aged 26, was six months pregnant and had gone to the clinic to terminate the pregnancy.

However, during the procedure, she began to bleed heavily and later died from complications.

Sources confirmed that police detectives visited the clinic, took photographs, and moved the body to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, for preservation.

The suspect who carried out the abortion has been arrested, and the case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
