Veteran Filmmaker Fala Recounts Emotional Encounter with Ronke Odunsanya During Movie Shoot (Video)

Veteran Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Fala, has shared an emotional story about his working experience with popular actress Ronke Odunsanya, praising her humility and professionalism.

Speaking in a recent interview on Behind The Fame African A-List, Fala reflected on their collaboration during the making of the movie Oshodi Oke. He revealed that he, along with Muyiwa Ademola and Femi Adebayo, wrote the script but faced a major casting challenge because the initial actress chosen for a key role was not a good fit.

According to him, he contacted another actress while Muyiwa Ademola reached out to Ronke Odunsanya. They agreed that whoever arrived first would get the role.

"Fortunately, Ronke called first. When she arrived, I told her, ‘I’m not changing my mind again. I wish you give me the best.’ She read the script and confidently said, ‘We’re good to go,’" Fala recalled.

Her outstanding performance in the film earned her more roles with him and strengthened their working relationship.

Fala also shared another touching moment on a different set where Ronke displayed deep respect for him.

"She was briefed about her scene and told that Oga Fala was around. I was sitting behind her quietly. When she saw me, she was shocked. She immediately knelt and moved toward me on her knees. She told everyone, ‘That is my boss. He’s my father in the industry.’ That kind of humility touched me deeply," he said.

Fala concluded by praising Ronke Odunsanya for her humility, respect, and dedication to her craft, qualities that have left a lasting impression on him.
