A Nigerian pastor has stirred outrage after threatening to use his “spiritual powers” to deport a young woman from Australia, claiming she failed to show him gratitude.
In a viral video, the pastor confronted the woman’s mother at the altar in front of his congregation. The mother was reportedly buying more land on behalf of her daughter, who relocated to Australia two years ago.
The pastor alleged that the woman had once worked in a bank in Nigeria, and it was after his prayers that she received her visa to travel abroad. According to him, since moving overseas, she has achieved success and is now buying properties in Nigeria.
However, the pastor expressed anger that the lady had not bought land for him as a form of appreciation. He warned that the land deal between mother and daughter could even cause conflict or end in fraud.
During the service, the pastor asked to speak directly with the woman abroad. When she was reached by phone, he reportedly threatened to have her deported if she failed to pay $1,000 into his account within seven days. He insisted that the demand was not personal but a “prophetic decree.”
The video has since gone viral, sparking heated discussions online about exploitation and abuse of spiritual authority.
